Are you a Guardian of Nature?

We believe that education and nature must go hand in hand. Anyone who shares this belief and identifies as a Guardian of Nature is part of our growing movement—our family. By embracing this deep connection, we can take meaningful action for the planet while living in harmony with ourselves, with others, and with nature. Together, let’s show the world that our community is growing every day—and that we are the spark of lasting change.

What inspired this school to participate in My Guardian Challenge is the ongoing fight to become Guardians of Nature. We borrowed a composter and are striving to practice composting. We requested a talk from the Municipality of Puriscal, and we are very excited—the student, the cook, the teacher, and the Education Board. We want to continue being guardians and expand our experiences

Environmental education is a key tool for shaping responsible, committed citizens who are aware of their role in protecting the planet. Programs like Mi Reto Guardián not only enrich learning in the classroom but also foster essential values such as solidarity, sustainability, and collective action

In Guardians of Nature, I find a wealth of resources to carry out activities with my students—experiences that help them become more aware of the footprint we should leave on our planet through its care and protection.
